The N. Cali Project [Phase 1, Planes + Beaches!]

Pronounced "en cali".

Over the next couple of weeks/months--(I haven't exactly planned this all out yet!)-- I will be publishing  many of the photos from my trip to Northern California this past June. On YouTube, video footage from California is going up; slowly but [not very] steadily. All clear? Okay, here we go.

Throughout this whole project, lens flares will be common. As I was going through the photos earlier, I noticed some in places I hadn't expected. Two cheers for lens flares!

For the first two days in California, we stayed in Santa Cruz. Above is the boardwalk amusement park which was the only nice part of Santa Cruz. The town as a whole disappointed me...probably because I expected it to be a beautiful beach town, which it isn't. If you ever do visit Santa Cruz, make sure to go on the wooden roller coaster, for it was awesome.

If you any questions, leave them in the comments below, and I'll be happy to reply! x]

The Next Five Days

Saturday [6/9] - Leave for Philadelphia. Mission: get tan a la piscine.
Sunday [6/10] - Leave from Philadelphia, to home. Be tan.
Monday [6/11] - Go to *undisclosed* amusement park. Be and get tan.
Tuesday [6/12] - Last day de l'ecolĂ©. Be tan.
Wednesday [6/13] - Go to airport. Fly to California.

It's rather depressing that right after I [hopefully] get a good tan, it'll be washed away by foggy San Francisco. I'll just have to get a tan before the beginning of school next year.

For Ransom

In Ransom Rigg's fantastic debut novel, he uses old pictures for sale at flee markets (usually less than a dollar per picture) and weaves them into his stories. When I looked at these scanned images from the 20th century, I couldn't help but imagine them being used in one of his stories.

I like imagining what the story behind each picture would be, or how it would be woven into a tale.

Incase you weren't aware, Ransom Riggs is the fantastic author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and friend of John Green. Here is a video that explains what Ransom does..watch it, it's fantastic. [extreme linkage!]
